[Education, Youth, Resilience, Community, Urban Greening & Resilience Hub]. Create a central hub for greening education, tool lending, and resilience resources to engage the community in sustainable practices. This could highlight local food importance, Biodiversity and Climate Justice.

[Homegrown Food, Native Habitats]. Establish connected food gardens, native plant and pollinator habitats across city in private yards to boost local food, biodiversity and to greenify our neighborhoods. It could incorporate a neighborhood contest to incent neighbors to form communities of connected gardens, and be supplied with materials and expertise.

[Youth, Education, Resilience. Community Tree Canopy Expansion and Maintenance] . Is there a way to educate youth to become the next generation of arborists to preserve trees, and educate homeowners. Expand and maintain San Leandro’s tree canopy to provide shade, improve air quality, and mitigate urban heat.

[Youth, Homeowners, Education. San Leandro Watershed and Creek Revitalization] Restore San Leandro Creek to improve biodiversity, reduce flooding, and enhance public access.
